Serpent Guard update - 28/02/2012

Hi guys,

I managed to do a little more work over the weekend on my freshly modified Daemon Prince. I decided to drop using green stuff for a while and moved to using Milliput and what an eye opener it has been :D

Here are some photos of the Daemon Prince as of Saturday:

I've done some more work on him since then as well as beginning work on my Badab War hero and greater Daemon. I'm cleaning up my Serpent Guard in preperation for the 'Badab War - Part 2' tournament being held at Warhammer World on the 26th & 27th May. Is anyone else going to this event? I'd love to hear some thoughts on the event if you are? Especially regarding the rules pack and the potential use of Imperial Armour models :D

Popping my tournament cherry this year :O)

Hi guys,

I just bought a ticket for my very first tournament!  :O)  It's for the Badab Campaign weekend - Part 2 hosted at Warhammer World on the 26th - 27th May 2012.  Let me know if you're going, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I need to decide what to field in the five games of varying point sizes and get them painted up. The games range from 500 points up to 2500 spread over the two day weekend. There are some interesting special rules in play, especially regarding the compulsory charactor that is the focus of the all the games and how they evolve with special rules after each victory or loss.   The down side to this for me is that I can no longer field my dual prince list "sigh". At least I have plenty of time to play test a 150 point Choas Lord and create a suitable conversion   :O)

Serpent Guard Update - 16/02/2012

Hi guys,

I'm sad to say there hasn't been much painting going on lately  :O(  I have though been busy on other projects  :O)

After struggling to find a cheap plastic demon prince kit on the net yesterday (don't ask), I decided in a moment of insanity (probably due to lack of paint in my system) to throw one of my metal princes into a vat of Fairy power spray. An hour later I went at it with an old tooth brush then proceeded to chop chop chop until there was only a pile of bitz before me.

Two hours later with the help of a heap of paper clips, a small amount of green stuff and a set of Balrog wings (which I had lying about from a previous failed experiment) I had something resembling that what was in my mind:

There is still heaps to do on this guy but for a couple of hours work I'm happy with his progress.

Constantine Valdor - Commission update 13/02/2012

Hi guys,

Here are some photos of a commission I'm working on.

I was asked to create a miniature to accompany the clients Grey Knight army and to be the size of a terminator.

I was supplied with the following piece of art for inspiration:

The following photos show where I am to date. I hope you like him  :O)

Grey Knight update - 09/02/2012

Hi guys,
Here's an update on the progress of the Grey Knight army I've been working on. I've taken these photos from screen captures off my YouTube channel as my camera broke  :O(

Sorry if they're a little dark:

I hope to have this army finished soon. I have an Inquisitor to paint (which I'll be using to complete a painting tutuorial upon and recording a video log for my YouTube channel) and the unit of Death Cult Assassins I converted previously then it's all going up onto eBay.

More to come,
